Which Adjustable Dumbbells Work With Dualbell?

In addition, to fixed dumbbells, Dualbell dumbbell to barbell converters work with many popular adjustable dumbbells, allowing you to use the dumbbells you already own as weight plates on a standard 1-inch bar.

Compatibility depends primarily on the size and shape of the dumbbell handle. The handle must fit within Dualbell and provide enough usable space for Dualbell to close securely.

Model designs can change, so we still recommend double checking your model's handle measurements before purchasing.

Other Adjustable Dumbbells We Have Tested

  • REP QuickDraw: Works with Dualbell, although positioning may require a little extra attention.
  • PÉPIN: Fits Dualbell, but the handle design can make installation more difficult.
  • Bowflex SelectTech 552: Compatibility varies. Different versions and handle configurations have produced mixed results, so measure your dumbbell before ordering.

Not Compatible

  • PowerBlock: PowerBlock dumbbells have an enclosed handle design that does not provide the open handle access Dualbell requires.

How to Check Your Dumbbell

Your dumbbell handle should meet both of these requirements:

  • Maximum handle diameter: 1.38 inches (35 mm)
  • Minimum usable handle length: 4.25 inches (108 mm)

Measure the clear portion of the handle available between the dumbbell heads, plates or adjustment mechanisms. Dualbell must be able to wrap completely around the handle and close securely without interfering with the dumbbell’s locking or adjustment system.

An open handle design generally works best. Dumbbells with enclosed cages or structures surrounding the grip may not be compatible, even when the handle itself is within the required dimensions.

What Else Do You Need?

Once Dualbell is secured around the dumbbell handle, it slides onto any standard 1-inch bar and locks in place using a standard 1-inch collar.

Dualbell works with:

  • 5-foot, 6-foot and 7-foot standard bars
  • EZ-curl bars
  • Triceps bars
  • Standard 1-inch specialty bars
  • Landmine setups using a standard 1-inch bar

Each Dualbell is recommended for use with dumbbells weighing up to 125 lb.
