Dumbbells For ALL Bent Over Rows

My Dumbbells Handle Both Bent-Over Rows
One of the goals of any home gym is getting the most value possible from the equipment you already own.
That is especially true when it comes to dumbbells. Most home gym owners use dumbbells for dozens of exercises, from presses and curls to lunges and rows. But what if those same dumbbells could also serve as the load for barbell-style exercises?
That is the idea behind Dualbell dumbbell to barbell converters.
In this video, I begin with traditional dumbbell bent-over rows before showing how the same dumbbells can be loaded onto a standard 1" bar and used for barbell bent-over rows.
The same dumbbells handle both.
The Benefits of Bent-Over Rows
Bent-over rows are one of the most effective exercises for developing upper back strength.
The movement targets several major muscle groups, including:
-
Latissimus dorsi (lats)
-
Rhomboids
-
Trapezius
-
Rear deltoids
-
Biceps
-
Core stabilizers
Because bent-over rows recruit multiple muscle groups simultaneously, they are often considered a foundational strength-training exercise.
Whether performed with dumbbells or a barbell, rows can help improve posture, pulling strength, and overall upper-body development.
Dumbbell Rows vs. Barbell Rows
Both versions offer unique benefits.
Dumbbell rows can help improve stabilization and allow each arm to work independently. Many lifters appreciate the increased freedom of movement and ability to address side-to-side imbalances.
Barbell rows provide a different training experience. Because both arms work together on a single implement, many lifters find it easier to handle heavier loads and focus on overall pulling strength.
That is why many strength-training programs include both variations.
My Dumbbells Handle Both
Dualbell dumbbell to barbell converters allow dumbbells to be loaded onto a standard 1" bar much like traditional weight plates.
This creates additional exercise possibilities without requiring a dedicated collection of weight plates.
For this row variation, the same dumbbells first perform traditional dumbbell rows. They are then attached to a bar using Dualbells and become the load for barbell rows.
The dumbbells never stop being dumbbells.
They simply take on another role when needed.
More Exercises. Less Equipment.
Space is often one of the biggest challenges in a home gym.
Many people want access to a wider variety of exercises without filling their workout area with additional equipment.
That is where Dualbell can help.
By allowing dumbbells to serve as both dumbbells and barbell weight, Dualbell helps create more training options while making better use of the equipment already in your gym.
For rows, that means having access to both dumbbell and barbell variations using the same set of weights.

Barbell rows.
Same dumbbells.
That's why they're always working.
